Waldkindergarten // Forest kindergarten

Der Alltag eines Waldkindergartens erhebt maximale Ansprüche an Kinderbekleidung in Bezug auf Robustheit, Isolation und Wetterschutz, wenn die Kinder den ganzen Tag im Freien verbringen und durch Wald und Wiesen „rackern“.

The day-to-day in a forest kindergarten demands the utmost from children’s apparel in terms of durability, insulation and weather protection. The children spend the entire day outdoors, roaming through forests and meadows, which creates a very specific set of demands on their clothing.

Kooperation mit Waldkindergärten // Cooperation with forest kindergartens

In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Bundesverband Natur- und Waldkindergärten entwickelt VAUDE einen Qualitätsstandard, der sicherstellt, dass die Bekleidung und Ausrüstung den Anforderungen von Waldkindergärten an funktionelle Ausrüstung gerecht wird. Zur Entwicklung dieser neuen Bekleidungslinie fliessen die Erfahrungen aus dem Praxisalltag von Waldkindergärten und dem VAUDEKinderhaus zusammen.

In collaboration with the German National Association for Nature and Forest Kindergartens, VAUDE developed a quality standard for the industry that ensures that forest kindergarten performance demands on clothing and equipment are met. The knowledge gained about the everyday practices and experiences in a forest kindergarten and in the VAUDE Child Care Centre flowed directly into development of this new line of apparel.
